How should I specify a domain for TCP/IP in Windows NT?

Question

How do I specify a domain for my machine in Windows NT

Answer

The most likely reason for this is that your TCP/IP configuration is not complete. Gordano products will use the operating system TCP/IP settings by default. If they are not complete, this will cause problems which may result in email not being sent out.

Open Control Panel > Networks > Protocols, highlight TCP/IP and then click on Properties. Now click on the DNS tab and make sure that you have the correct hostname and domain entered here for your machine.

If either of these are blank you will have difficulty sending mail outside your network.
