How do I suspend membership of a list while on holiday

Question

When you go on holiday, you may decide that you don’t want email from the
lists that you have joined. GMS Communication Server has the ability to “Suspend” a
membership and “Resume” it again later.

Answer

Any list member can send an email message to the list with “-suspend”
appended. This will suspend their address until they return and send a
message to the “-resume” address. For example, to suspend yourself from
this mailing list, simply email:

tips-suspend@gordano.com

and when you come back from holiday, email:

tips-resume@gordano.com

Notes:

1. You can also send these requests using the other two formats of list
   server command. That is you could email:

   tips-request@gordano.com

   with the message body:

   suspend

   or you could email:

   list@gordano.com

   with the message body:

   suspend tips

2. You can change the name of the “suspend” and “resume” commands if you
   wish. This can be done from the List page: GLCom>Commands>Aliases.
