How do I pass the GFI ActiveX vulnerability test?

Question

I have performed the Active X vulnerability test from the GFI security website which indicates that my server is not protected. How do I protect against this type of message?

Answer

This message can easily be blocked by GMS Anti-Spam.

Add an entry to your restricted words list as follows:

The Active X vulnerability only applies to IE 5.x, and the correct protection for this problem is to update your browser.

Preventing incoming email messages with this exploit will not protect a user who accesses a website seperately from their mail client, as such this particular GFI test is flawed, and so we strongly advise that you update your browser, and do not assume that passing this test means you are protected.
