Question
From version 14 onwards, GMS introduced white listing as part of GMS Anti-Spam. This means that specified e-mail addresses can bypass all Anti Spam checks.
These bypasses can be based on the sender or receiver e-mail address, connecting IP addresses and specific hosts (machine names).
However mis-confiuraton of this functionality could result in your GMS server allowing relay for every e-mail address that you’ve white listed!
Answer
The setting "Bypass relay checks" is prevelant in all tabs under "Anti Spam > Bypasses > Trusted Sessions".
Enabling bypass relay checks under say, "Trusted Senders", will mean any sender e-mail address in your address book will be able to send external mail through your server without further checks being performed. Only enable this if you are sure you want to grant mail relay for e-mail addresses you have chosen to white list.
