How can I specify a backup mail server for specific outgoing rules?

Question

I have GMS set up to send all mail entering my server destined for non local domains on to another server. For security I would also like to be able to specify a secondary server. How can I do this?

Answer

When setting up your rules you can specify multiple servers under the "Post Server" section of the rule. These multiple servers must be separated by a comma.

An example of such a would be:

Target Address: *
Deliver to: mail.dom1.com, mail.dom2.com
Port Number: 25
Retry every minutes: 12
Account: (blank)
Password: (blank)
