Can I use a Pocket PC with GMS Collaboration?

Question

I use a PDA running Microsoft Pocket PC – how can I synchronize my GMS Collaboration data to my PDA?

Answer

Firstly, you must ensure that you have MS Outlook installed on the PC which you use to synchronize your device. Also, you must have the GMS Collaboration client installed on this PC, and configured to use a profile with MS Outlook.

Once this is done, you can connect your Pocket PC device, and then choose to synchronize any or all of the following:

  • Calendar
  • Notes
  • Tasks
  • Contacts
  • Email

When you connect your Pocket PC device, it will Synchronise with the local copy of Outlook. Outlook in turn is synchronizing with your GMS server.

When you disconnect your Pocket PC device, it will initiate a synchronization with the GMS Server.
