Question
Is there a way to forward all outbound SMTP traffic to another SMTP server?
Answer
GMS provides complete control over the way mail outbound from the server is handled. The Outgoing > Rules page allows any number of rules to be set up.
For instance, if you would like all of the outbound mail sent to a single destination server then you only require a single rule specifying this.
Target Address | Post Server | Port | Retry |
* | mail.isp.net | 25 | 12 |
Replace mail.isp.net with the name of the server to send the mail to.
Multiple rules can also be used, so you could for example have one rule that sends mail for hotmail.com to one server and all other mail to the result of an MX lookup.
Target Address | Post Server | Port | Retry |
* | * | 25 | 12 |
hotmail.com | server.hotmail.com | 25 | 12 |
