AutoDial doesn’t work – the ‘Go Now’ button on the Scheduling page is greyed out and I can’t find the autodial.exe program in the zip I downloaded. Since version 4 of GMS Mail, Autodial is no longer required.
Answer
There isn’t an Autodial.exe program – for historical reasons the AutoDial exe file is called ntmdgsvc.exe.
If the Go Now button is greyed, make sure that the RAS and Email Gateway services are running. You can do this from the Services Applet on the Control Panel.
If you are running Widows 95, you must execute ntmdgsvc.exe to start the AutoDial service. You can do this automatically by adding the exe file to the Startup folder.
