How do I stop my server from polling Gordano's Tip Server?
Answer:
Version 7 and above of Gordano's software will regularly poll the tip server to check that it is running. If you are connecting to the Internet via a dialup connection, this may cause the dialup to take place every 30 minutes.
In order to stop this, log in to the GUI and go to the Support > System Variables page, select the variable "allowtipserver" from the list of available variables and set it to a value of 0.
This will cause your system to get tips from the local machine rather than Gordano's Tip Server.
