Marketing Manager
This new, exciting and pivotal role within a dynamically growing Company will require someone to build and maintain relationships with key contacts. Reporting to the Managing Director, as the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for helping to set and implement business objectives, both in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and deliver a strategic marketing plan designed to increase global awareness of the Company's portfolio and ultimately drive sales growth. There will be a specific focus on new opportunities and recruiting new channels in the Middle East and emerging markets whilst ensuring that existing geographical areas remain supported and informed. Sales forecasts will need to be prepared to ensure that proper planning and resource allocation can be achieved. Feeding back into the development process is required to ensure that future development is aligned with customer requirements in addition to helping drive future innovation.
The position will be based in Birmingham (B24). An initial familiarisation & training period will require attendance at the Company's headquarters near Bristol, and further visits may be required from time to time. It will be necessary to attend relevant exhibitions, seminars and conferences to promote the Company's products and services, and some overseas travel may be involved. As the client base is globally distributed there will also be the requirement to work flexible hours when required.
Tasks will typically involve:
- Communicating directly with a range of parties including customers, colleagues, management, analysts, journalists and partner companies
- Researching existing customer database for suitable candidates for case studies and references
- Writing and proof reading promotional material
- Managing all aspects of marketing communication production and distribution
- Regularly reviewing and updating website content
- Sourcing advertising and editorial opportunities
- Creating and managing specific marketing campaigns
- Analysing and reporting on campaigns and marketing activity
- Drawing sound conclusions and translating those into decisions and actions
- Monitoring competitors and generally keeping up to date with market activity
- Identifying current and future trends within vertical markets and capitalising on opportunities that may arise from such trends
- Creating and managing social media channels
- Supporting sales and support departments and other colleagues
- Researching and identifying potential new channels worldwide
- Creating webinars and demonstrations and confidently delivering these to a range of audiences
- Supporting external PR companies to ensure a unified message
Key skills required for this position

Remuneration package:
Salary range: £25K to £35K + benefits
